To realize its mission, the MCOA annually updates a four-year area plan to reflect the priority needs of the County's older adults and their care givers. Based on the area plan, the MCOA contracts with organizations serving the elderly to provide the following services:
  • Adult day care
  • Adult day care respite
  • Assisted transportation
  • Attendant care
  • Case management
  • Chore services
  • Congregate meals
  • Friendly visiting/telephone reassurance
  • Home delivered meals
  • Homemaker/housekeeper services
  • Legal assistance

The MCOA staff conducts outreach to the elderly to identify and assess needs and refer the elderly to appropriate elderly service providers.
