Department of Housing and Human Concerns

Immigrant Services

Immigrant Services Division is responsible for assisting immigrants overcome barriers to successful acculturation and social integration in order to become contributing members of the community. Services provided include language interpretation/translation, information/referral, acculturation, advocacy, and application assistance for various USCIS petitions and application approvals (e.g. employment authorization, citizenship, immigration petitions, etc.). It should be noted, however, that the County of Maui's Immigrant Services Division does NOT process or adjudicate USCIS applications which is a function of the Federal United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS).
Immigrant Services Division provides an Acculturation Program to immigrant students at Maui Waena Intermediate School on Mondays and Wednesdays. This program provides tutoring/mentoring and recreational activities.
The main office is located at 2200 Main Street, Suite 601, with a Satellite Office in Lahaina. To better serve our community, offices are also located on the islands of Molokai and Lanai.
