CP SM3 - Special Management Area Emergency Permit
Purpose:
The Director or Planning may issue a Special Management Area (SMA) Emergency Permit (SM3) under specific conditions as outlined in
Hawaii Revised Statues, Section 205A and Maui, Molokai or Lanai Planning Commission Special Management Area Rules.
AN EMERGENCY EXISTS WHEN there is an imminent threat to a legally habitable structure, or when public infrastructure is at risk of failure which would substantially affect public health and safety.
