COVID-19 Precautionary Measures
Water bill credit card convenience and transaction fees, as well as E-Check Fees, will no longer be waived effective February 01, 2021.
The Department of Water Supply is following recommendations to encourage social distancing for the benefit of County employees and residents and we are encouraging our customers to pay water bills by check or credit card.
Please call (808) 270-7730 and press "3", or call 855-385-4836 to pay your bill over the phone.
Poster & Video Contests
Due to COVID-19 Health Emergency the Department of Water Supply will not be holding its Water Conservation Poster Contest this year. We would like to thank our students, teachers and parents for their participation and support of our water conservation program and we look forward to restarting the contest in the future.
The Department of Water Supply is an agency of the County of Maui. Our mission is to provide clean water efficiently. We provide water to approximately 36,400 services on Maui and Molokai. Department of Water Supply announces temporary customer service changes
On June 22, 2020, the Kalana O Maui building and One Main Plaza will be open to the public for our customers. The Department of Water Supply will still be taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of our customers as well as our employees.
DWS Divisions are not accepting any walk-in appointments at this time and encourage reaching out to our divisions via phone or email.
You can pay your water bill at our customer service window on the 5th floor. DWS Divisional contact information is available on our web site.
If you do visit us in person, we ask all visitors for their continued cooperation and to please:
- wear a face mask or other cloth face covering
- maintain a six-foot distance apart from others, and
- use hand sanitizers that have been made available

DWS Small Meter Replacement Project
In June 2020 the Department of Water Supply began its Small Meter Replacement project aimed at upgrading aging water meters within the County water system. The project, which is expected to last for four years, will replace an estimated 26,000 water meters that are 2” or less in size. Professional Meters, Inc. (PMI) has been hired by the department to install the meters.
