Fire and Rescue Operations is primarily responsible for emergency response, which accounts for the majority of activity in the Department of Fire and Public Safety.
Staffing & Resources
Fire/Rescue Operations includes 279 personnel trained to respond to and mitigate a wide variety of emergency situations. They are assigned to 14 fire stations spread throughout the county. Available resources include:

14 engine companies 3 mini-pumpers
2 ladder companies 1 helicopter
1 rescue company 3 rescue boats
1 hazardous material company 4 personal watercraft
4 tankers 11 utility vehicles
