Scope of Work


This project involves the repair of a landslide on Piilani Highway, near the Kipahulu area, that was damaged by a landslide. The landslide area is near M.P. 37, and the roadway is bounded by a cut section on the Mauka side, and a natural steep slope on the Makai side. During non-construction hours, this portion of the roadway is open for single lane traffic only. The scope of work includes clearing & grubbing, excavation, construction of a new retaining wall with rock finish, micropile foundation, tie-back anchors, guardrails, and other items. PLEASE ANTICIPATE ROAD CLOSURES MONDAY – FRIDAY, 7:30AM – 4:00PM, PENDING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
