Electronic waste, or “E-Waste” that is collected on Maui is comprised of broken or unwanted TVs, computers, monitors and printers. E-Cycling Maui LLC collects E-Waste items, which are either reused locally, or sorted and then shipped to a processor in Oregon that has been accredited and certified to meet strong standards to safely recycle and manage electronic equipment. The County Electronics Recycling Program is sponsored by the County of Maui and the Hawaii State Department of Health.

Please bring your items to the E-Cycling Maui ReThink Recycling Center located at 301 Hansen Rd, in Pu‘unēnē, Maui. NOTE: The entrance to the facility is on Pulehu Road in between Hansen Road and Ho’okele Street.

E-Cycling Maui does not accept microwave ovens or large appliances such as washers, air conditioners, stoves. Residents may take these items for no drop-off charge to Hammerhead Metals in Central Maui Base Yard.
The Maui YMCA accepts old cell phones for recycling. Call (808) 242-9007 for information.
It will likely need to be landfilled. Ask if the manufacturer of the item has a take-back program.
