Results of Monitoring Unregulated Contaminants
Drinking water rules require DWS to monitor for certain unregulated contaminants. Testing detected the following unregulated contaminants.

Unregulated Radiological Contaminants

• Radon - MCL is not yet available
• Major source: erosion of natural deposits in groundwater aquifers

Unregulated Disinfection Byproducts

• Bromodichloromethane
• Bromoform
• Chloroform
• Chlorodibromomethane

For all of the above, the MCL is not yet available and the major source is a byproduct of drinking water chlorination.
