The Affirmative Action Advisory Council meets once a year to review the County's EEO report, required by the federal government. The report includes a form on the County's employment statistics which is submitted to the federal government.

Responsibilities
The Affirmative Action Advisory Council advises and assists the Mayor in all phases of the County's
Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program, based on federal guidelines and requirements. They also advise and assist the Mayor in reaching the County's affirmative action goals and objectives concerning race, sex, religion, and disabled, in employment, and to take affirmative action in correcting past discrimination.
