Bicycle Tour Business License

To operate a bicycle tour business, you will be required to complete an application and an indemnification agreement. A copy of an insurance policy of at least $3,000,000 naming the County of Maui as an additional insured must be submitted. The insurance must be valid through the licensing period. Application fee for a bicycle tour business license is $500 per year.

Ocean Recreational Activities Business Permit

Applicants for Ocean Recreational Activities Business Permits are required to apply under 13.04 of the Maui County Code. Please contact the Department of Parks and Recreation at (808) 270-8070 for further information.

Taxicab Business License

The number of taxicab business licenses authorized for the islands of Maui, Molokai, and Lanai are based upon the limitations specified in chapter 5.16 of the Maui County Code.

If the established guidelines permit an increase in the number of taxicabs, a notice will be published in the local newspaper. The additional number of taxicab business licenses will awarded to interested applicants by public drawing. Applicants who are awarded the taxicab business license will be provided the guidelines and further requirements to activate the license.

Vendor's License

It is unlawful for any person to conduct a business as a vendor in certain locations and areas within the County of Maui. To obtain a license as a vendor, you will be required to complete an application. The fee for a vendor's license is $25.
