Holomua route for food distribution

Mayor Michael Victorino announced that a food distribution will take place on Thursday, April 23, to provide bags of food to individuals impacted by COVID-19 in Paia and Haiku.

Distribution will start at 10 a.m. and take place at the Old Maui High School campus.

Over 300 bags of produce and food will be available for Paia and Haiku residents. Bags will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Drivers must enter the Old Maui High School campus by accessing Holomua Road off of Hana Highway and will exit onto Baldwin Avenue.

“We are working tirelessly to make sure food reaches those who have been impacted by COVID-19,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “Please be courteous and allow those who have lost jobs and income to receive these donations, so they can feed their families during this difficult time.”

Special Mahalo: VIP Foodservice, Island Movers, Maui County Farm Bureau, Mahi Pono, Friends of Old Maui High School, Maui Soda & Ice Works, Valley Isle Fellowship Pastor Stephen Kaneshiro, the Hawaii National Guard and Maui Police Department.

Over 2,000 bags of food and produce have been handed out to residents in distribution events across Maui County.
