About 100 people tested during COVID-19 drive-through testing on Lanai

Mayor Michael Victorino announced that about a hundred people were tested Saturday, April 25, in a COVID-19 drive-through testing at the old Dole Administration Building in Lanai City.

A total of about 350 individuals have been tested on Lanai, which remains the only island in Maui County with zero confirmed cases.

“I want to extend a deep and heartfelt mahalo Straub Medical Center-Lana`i Clinic and the Lana`i Community Health Center for helping to provide this testing for our people on Lanai,” Mayor Victorino said. “I also want to thank Pulama Lanaʻi, Lanai police and the Hawaii National Guard for partnering with us to setup Saturday’s drive-through event. It’s so important for us to continue to protect the health and safety of our Lanai community, and try to prevent any COVID-19 cases from entering the island.”

Testing is available Monday through Saturday at the two Lanai clinics. If you live on Lanai and would like to make an appointment, call 565-6423 for Straub Medical Center Lanaʻi Clinic and 565-6919 for the Lanaʻi Community Health Center.
