Update: Water cutbacks canceled for Wailuku-Kahului-Paia domestic water system

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply canceled water cutbacks Tuesday for customers on its Wailuku-Kahului-Paia system.

“We now have three of four wells back online, so the Department of Water Supply is comfortable with the amount of water available for our customers,” Department of Water Supply Director Jeffrey Pearson said. “We appreciate our customers’ cooperation in reducing water usage during this time.”

“I would like to remind all of our water customers that we’re heading into the hot summer months when demand for water typically rises,” Pearson said. “So, we appreciate continued conservative use of water. This saves money for consumers on water bills and helps safeguard our precious resource of water.”

Consumers with water problems may call the 24-hour service line at 270-7633.
