Maui County Immigrant Services Division announces State Department Diversity Immigrant Visa program

The County of Maui Immigrant Services Division will hold a virtual information session at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 to discuss a U.S. Department of State program to make 50,000 immigrant visas available.

Participants need to RSVP by Thursday, Oct. 22.

The State Department makes the visas available for a limited time each fiscal year. Visa recipients are randomly selected from entries in a lottery from all individuals who are from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.

To participate in the informational meeting, contact the Maui County Immigrant Services Division at (808) 270-7791 or email by 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. A Blue Jeans meeting link will be provided to participants.
