The Waiehu Municipal Golf Course Wastewater Improvements Project will begin construction on Monday, Jan. 25, and continue through Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, the Department of Parks and Recreation announced.
The project includes replacement of the existing grease interceptor with a new 300-gallon-capacity grease interceptor as well as necessary sewer and drainage improvements.
The golf course will remain open for play and operate during normal business hours. On weekdays, the starter’s booth opens at 6:30 a.m., and tee times are from 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. On weekends and holidays, the starter’s booth opens at 5:30 a.m., and tee times are from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clubhouse entrance will be blocked off during construction because a portion of the work area will cross an existing sidewalk. Also, public access to the starter’s booth and pro shop will be from the access aisle adjacent to the cart barn area.
Members of the public are asked to remain outside of construction area barriers at all times.
Tom’s Backhoe & Excavation Co. Inc. is the construction contractor.
