Revised dates announced for MFD personnel pool training in February

A revised schedule has been announced for Maui Fire Department personnel training sessions at the Coach Soichi Sakamoto and Coach Spencer Shiraishi pools this month, the Department of Parks and Recreation announced.

Earlier, the Shiraishi pool was scheduled to be closed to the public for three days, and the Sakamoto pool was set for closure for one day. Now, the revised schedule closes the Shiraishi pool for two days and the Sakamoto pool for two days.

The revised training dates are:

  • Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool - February 16 and February 17, 2021
  • Coach Spencer Shiraishi Pool - February 18 and February 19, 2021

Reservations for public lap swimming will not be available at those pools and on those dates.

The Department of Parks and Recreation apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause the community.
