Lahaina, Pulehu and Upcountry Maui Fires Update No. 12, 1:10 a.m.: The County of Maui opened two additional emergency evacuation shelters Wednesday evening. The additional shelters are located at King’s Cathedral Maui at 777 Maui Veteran’s Highway in Kahului and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1300 Maui Lani Parkway in Kahului. Mahalo to King’s Cathedral Maui and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Maui Lani for providing additional shelter sites in order to accommodate full occupancy at existing shelters.

Evacuees are reminded that emergency shelters do not provide bedding, toiletries and personal care items. Pet owners utilizing the shelter will need to have pets properly restrained.
