Post Tropical Storm Olivia Trash Routes Schedule


WAILUKU, Maui – The County of Maui Dept. of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, today announced that the residential refuse collection routes that were not picked up on Wednesday (9/12/18) due to Tropical Strom Olivia, are rescheduled to be picked up as follows: 


-      For Hana, Molokai and Lanai residents:  pick up is re-scheduled for Friday (9/14/18).


-      For maui (excluding hana):  pick up is re-scheduled for Saturday (9/15/18).


-      For manual routes, Please place no more than the maximum of 6 containers of trash at the curb.

Also, due to the closure of Lower Honoapiilani Road between Hui Road and Puamana Place until further notice, residential refuse accounts in that area will NOT be serviced until the road is reopened.  There will be NO SERVICE on Friday (9/14/18) and possibly Tuesday (9/18/18).


The Department of Public Works anticipates opening the road before NEXT FRIDAY (9/21/18) pick up.  Affected residents are encouraged to drop off their trash at the Olowalu Transfer station for no charge, which is open Mon-Sat from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.


The Solid Waste Division apologizes for the inconvenience.
