Damage Reporting - M3.8 Earthquake 46 km South of Lanai City September 16, 2022

Although this morning's earthquake near Lanai was small in magnitude, we did receive some reports that people's homes were shaken.  For this reason, we are providing the following link to allow the public to report any damages that may have resulted from today's minor earthquake.

MEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program

The Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is soon to start CERT recertification and initial certification training. If you are already a CERT member that completed training and received a certificate, but not receive an email (or phone call) and would like to remain an ACTIVE CERT volunteer please send an email to with your current contact information and your intention to stay ACTIVE.

If you know of anyone - family or friends - who are interested in being an active volunteer in our Maui community, get the word out and have them send us an email too! We are happy to add volunteers to our Maui CERT Ohana. For additional information on CERT please go to
