Pursuant to Chapter 103-D, HRS, sealed offers are being accepted for the supplying, furnishing and paying for all labor, materials, tools, transportation and equipment necessary to repair and rehabilitate the No. 3 Secondary Clarifier located at the Kihei Wastewater Reclamation Facility. All work is shown and called for in the specifications for "THE PREPARATION AND PAINTING OF THE KIHEI WWRF CLARIFIER No. 3", Job No. WW09-09 ", for the Department of Environmental Management, County of Maui.

Offers shall be received by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, Wells Street Professional Center, 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793 up to 2:00 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, 2009, and shall be publicly opened thereafter.

Specifications and Offer Form may be obtained at the Division of Purchasing, Department of Finance, at the address above.

All prospective bidders shall possess the appropriate General Contractors License or Specialty Contractors License, with appropriate subcontractor(s) held in the State of Hawaii.

The Contractor and his Subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage schedule as required under Chapter 104, H.R.S.

No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders’ security: cash, a cashier’s check or certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder’s bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statues. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
