SEALED BIDS for the OLINDA WATER TREATMENT PLANT 3-MILLION GALLON CLEARWELL STEEL WATER TANK ROOF REPLACEMENT, OLINDA, MAUI, HAWAII, DWS JOB NO. 17-05-C, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th Floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 PM (Hawaii Standard Time – Local Time), on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as necessary to remove the existing welded steel roof from the 3-million gallon water tank, located DWS’s Olinda Water Treatment Plant facility. Then, erect and install an aluminum dome roof on the water tank.
A compact disk (CD) containing the bid documents for this OLINDA WATER TREATMENT PLANT 3-MILLION GALLON CLEARWELL STEEL WATER TANK ROOF REPLACEMENT project may be purchased from the Engineering Division of the Department of Water Supply at a cost of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00). There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to “Department of Water Supply”.
A pre-bid conference and project tour has been scheduled at 9:00 AM, on Friday, October 20, 2017. All Bidders ARE ENCOURAGED to attend. Bidders shall meet at the Department of Water Supply’s NASKA Baseyard Office at 614 Palapala Drive, Kahului, Maui.
Bidders planning to attend the pre-bid conference(s) are requested to call 808-270-7835 and inform the Department of Water Supply of their intent to attend the conference(s) at least THREE (3) days prior to the date of each pre-bid conference.
To be eligible to bid, bidders shall possess applicable and valid State of Hawaii contractor’s licenses to perform the work. Bidders must NOT be more than 180 days over the Contract Time (without approved Time Extensions) on any current Department of Water Supply Capital Improvement Projects. This includes subsidiary companies.
Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the "Department of Water Supply" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
