NOTICE TO BIDDERS

SEALED BIDS for the MAHINAHINA WATER TREATMENT PLANT CONTROLS UPGRADE, LAHAINA, MAUI, HAWAII, DWS JOB NO. 16-04-C, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th Floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 PM (Hawaii Standard Time – Local Time), on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A compact disk (CD) containing the bid documents for this MAHINAHINA WATER TREATMENT PLANT CONTROLS UPGRADE project may be purchased from the Engineering Division of the Department of Water Supply at a cost of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00). There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to “Department of Water Supply”.
A pre-bid conference and project tours has been scheduled as follows: 8:00 am, on Tuesday March 27th - Pre-bid conference and tour @ Piiholo WTP. At 1:00 pm, on Tuesday March 27th - Pre-bid tour: @ Mahinahina WTP

Bidders planning to attend the pre-bid conference(s) are requested to call 808-270-7835 and inform the Department of Water Supply of their intent to attend the conference(s) at least THREE (3) days prior to the date of each pre-bid conference.

To be eligible to bid, bidders shall possess applicable and valid State of Hawaii contractor’s licenses to perform the work. Bidders must NOT be more than 180 days over the Contract Time (without approved Time Extensions) on any current Department of Water Supply Capital Improvement Projects. This includes subsidiary companies.

Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the "Department of Water Supply" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
