NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Pursuant to Chapter 103D, HRS, sealed proposals will be received and time stamped by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, Wells Street Professional Center, 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, up to
2:00 P.M., THURSDAY DECEMBER 10, 2009
, for the
Lanai Senior Center, Job No. DHHC-09-01,
and will then and there be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work shall generally consist of hazardous material abatement, demolition of the existing Senior Center, and the construction of a new two-level Senior Center, site improvements, and landscaping as specified herein and/or as indicated on the drawings.
CDs of the Bid drawings and specifications may be obtained from the office listed above. Hard copies of the plans and specifications shall be at the discretion and cost of the bidders.
All prospective bidders shall possess a "B" General Building Contractor's License with the appropriate Subcontractor(s) held in the State of Hawaii.
The Contractor and his Subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage rate schedule as required under Chapter 104, H.R.S.
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders' security: cash, a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
