NOTICE TO BIDDERS

SEALED BIDS for WAIKAPU TANK SITE WELL DEVELOPMENT, DWS JOB NO. 01-13, ISLAND OF MAUI, STATE OF HAWAII, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th Floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as specified in the bid documents necessary to develop the Waikapu Tank Site Well and all related improvements. Work at the Waikapu Tank Site includes a deep well submersible pump, construction of a pump control building, electrical, and other appurtenant improvements.

Bid documents may be purchased from the DWS Engineering Division of said department at a cost of FORTY-TWO DOLLARS ($42.00) PER SET. There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to "Department of Water Supply".

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering Contractor's "A" license and must have a valid "Standard Qualification Questionnaire" on file with the Department’s Engineering Division no later than 48 hours prior to bid opening.

Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the "Department of Water Supply" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
