NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Pursuant to Chapter 103D, HRS, sealed bids for the DROUGHT MITIGATION PROJECT ON MAUI, ISLAND OF MAUI, STATE OF HAWAII, Job No. 10-11/P-24 will be received and time stamped by the Bid Receiver, Department of Finance, Purchasing Division, Wells Street Professional Building, 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2010, at which time and place the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
This project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as specified in the bid documents necessary to install new reservoir liners in two (2) existing agricultural reservoirs, including temporary pumping system at the Kula Agricultural Park, Pulehunui, Kula, Maui, Hawaii.
Bid documents may be picked up from the Department of Finance, Purchasing Division.
A mandatory pre-bid conference site tour has been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2010. Bidders are required to attend. Bidders shall meet at the Kula Agricultural Park Lower Reservoir, Kula, Maui, Hawaii.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawai‘I General Engineering Contractor’s “A” license. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors.
Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, payable to the "County of Maui" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
