INVITATION FOR BIDS
Pursuant to Chapter 103-D, HRS, sealed offers are being accepted for the supplying, furnishing and paying for all labor, materials, tools, transportation and equipment necessary to construct in place complete, all work shown and called for in the specifications for the "KIHEI LABORATORY RENOVATION PROJECT AT THE KIHEI WASTEWATER RECLAMATION FACILITY", IFB NO. 11-12/P-4, for the Department of Environmental Management, County of Maui.
Offers shall be received and time stamped by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, Wells Street Professional Center, 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793 by 2:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, AUGUST 12, 2011, and shall be publicly opened thereafter.
Specifications and Proposal Form may be obtained at the Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, at the address above.
Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors.
The Contractor and his Subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage schedule as required under Chapter 104, H.R.S.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be conducted for this project. Interested parties shall meet at the project site at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Those who do not attend the pre-bid meeting and register their attendance in writing shall not be permitted to bid on this project. Interested parties may contact Reginald Balidoy at (808) 879-6109 x209 for directions to the site or with questions about this project.
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders’ security: cash, a cashier’s check or certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder’s bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statues. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount submitted.
