NOTICE TO BIDDERS


PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 103D, HRS, SEALED BIDS shall be received up to and be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2011, by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance at 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, 96793, and shall be labeled:

LAHAINA FIRE STATION
APPARATUS BAY
IFB 11-12 / P-16

A compact disc containing the plans, specifications, and bid proposal form may be obtained at the Purchasing Division at the above address.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to construct in place complete, a 2,838 square foot apparatus bay and related improvements at the existing Lahaina Fire Station.

A pre-bid meeting will be conducted for the project. Attendance is not mandatory for bidders. Interested parties are to meet at 10:00 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31, 2011 at the Lahaina Fire Station, 1860 Honoapiilani Highway, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.

Bidders shall possess a valid State of Hawaii General Building Contractor's “B” license. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors.

No bid proposal will be considered unless accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any defects if it believes the rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the County.
