NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SEALED BIDS for construction of MAUI MEADOWS NO. 17 BOOSTER PUMP STATION, DWS JOB NO. 08-08, ISLAND OF MAUI, STATE OF HAWAII, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th Floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2011 , at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as specified in the bid documents necessary to construct three (3) booster pumps, with control building, water lines, and appurtenances at the Maui Meadows No. 17 Tank Site, Wailea, Maui, Hawaii.
Bid documents may be purchased from the Engineering Division of said department at a cost of FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($50.00) PER SET. A CD containing bid documents also can be purchased for an additional $10. There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to “Department of Water Supply”.
A MANDATORY pre-bid conference and project tour has been scheduled at 9:00 A.M. ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2011. Bidders are required to attend to be allowed to bid. Bidders shall meet at the Naska Baseyard of the Department of Water Supply located at 614 Palapala Drive in Kahului at the date and time specified above.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must posses a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering Contractor's “A” license.
Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the "Department of Water Supply" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
