INVITATION TO BID


PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 103D, HRS, SEALED BID PROPOSALS for supplying, furnishing, and paying for all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and equipment necessary to construct in place complete, all work as called for on the plans and specifications for CENTRAL MAUI LANDFILL, EXPLORATORY WELL, JOB #11-12/P-26 will be received by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, Wells Street Professional Center, 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, up to and publicly opened at 2:00 P.M., on November 14, 2011.

This project installation of a 12-inch minimum diameter pilot borehole, 8-inch minimum I.D. solid well casing, including steel shoe, alignment test, cement grouting of annular space, drilling 7.5-inch minimum diameter open hole, development and test pumping and furnishing and installing test pump.

Plans, specifications, and proposal forms on compact disk (CD) may be obtained at the Purchasing Division office. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors

The Contractor and all Subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the prevailing wage rate schedule as required by Chapter 104, H.R.S.

No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders security: cash, a cashier's check or certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323, H.R.S. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
