FURNISH OF LABOR, TOOLS, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE NAPILI “A” PUMPING UNIT, (STATE WELL ID# 5838-01) IN NAPILI, MAUI, HAWAII FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY, COUNTY OF MAUI

TO ALL BIDDERS:

The following is a clarification to the Bid Proposal of the document. Bidders are required to incorporate all necessary changes, additions, or deductions in their proposal.

THE FOLLOWING CHANGE:

9.11 Standalone Hydro-Pneumatic Booster System: The hydro pneumatic system shall be made to withstand wet and salty outdoor weather conditions. The capacity of the hydro pneumatic system shall be determined by the pump manufacture specifically for pressurized water flushed operation. The tank and discharge and suction manifold shall be galvanized and lead free specifically for potable water use. The unit shall have redundant self priming pumps. The hydro pneumatic pumps shall be equipped with 316 stainless steal impellers and shafts. The motors shall be close coupled. Contractor will be responsible for the supplying and installing the unit, including a concrete pad if needed.

CHANGE TO:

9.11 Standalone Hydro-Pneumatic Booster System: The hydro pneumatic system shall be made to withstand wet and salty outdoor weather conditions. It shall provide lubrication capable of maintaining the normal operating pressure and capacity during a power outage for the duration of the spin down of the pump. The capacity of the hydro pneumatic system shall be determined by the pump manufacture specifically for pressurized water flushed operation.
The tank and discharge and suction manifold shall be galvanized and lead free specifically for potable water use. The unit shall have redundant self priming pumps. The hydro pneumatic pumps shall be equipped with 316 stainless steal impellers and shafts. The motors shall be close coupled. Contractor will be responsible for the supplying and installing the unit, including a concrete pad if needed.
