Pursuant to Chapter 103-D, HRS, sealed bids for supplying, furnishing and paying for all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and equipment necessary to construct in place complete, all work as shown and called for in the plans and specifications shall be received and time stamped up to and be publicly opened at 2:00 P.M. on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2008 by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, Wells St. Professional Center, 2145 Wells St., Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii for the

Plans, specifications and proposal forms on CD may be obtained at the Office of the Purchasing Division, 2145 Wells St., Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793.

A pre-bid meeting and tour will be conducted for the project. Interested parties are to meet at the proposed site for the West Maui Recycling and Redemption Center at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.

Bidders shall possess a "B" General Contractor’s license held in the State of Hawaii and must be qualified in compliance with Section 103D-310 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.

The Contractor and his subcontractors, if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the law relative to the Prevailing Wage Schedule, as required under Chapter 104, HRS.

No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders’ security: cash, a cashier’s check or certified on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder’s bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
