NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SEALED BIDS for CONSTRUCTION OF IAO TANK SITE WELL DEVELOPMENT, DWS JOB NO. 00-16, ISLAND OF MAUI, STATE OF HAWAII, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th Floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2008, at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as specified in the bid documents necessary to construct a two million gallon per day (2 MGD) deepwell pump, with control building, water lines, drain lines, and appurtenances at the Iao Tank Site, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii.
Bid documents may be purchased from the Engineering Division of said department at a cost of SIXTY-FIVE AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($65.00) PER SET. There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to "Department of Water Supply".
A pre-bid conference and project tour has been scheduled at 10:00 A.M. ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2008. Bidders are not required to attend. Bidders shall meet at the Engineering Division of the Department of Water Supply at the date and time specified above.
To be eligible to bid, bidders must posses a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering Contractor's "A" license and must have a valid "Standard Qualification Questionnaire" on file with the Department’s Engineering Division.
Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the "Department of Water Supply" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
Bidder must submit a tax clearance from the Hawaii State Department of Taxation and Internal Revenue Service, using Form A-6, with the sealed bid.
